Candle Saftey

Dear Customer,

Thank you ever so much for your purchase as it is a wonderful feeling for me to create these items and send them off to light- pun intended- your life.

tips and tricks to get the most out of your candle:

the first light is very important to your candle's life.

  • Light at the base of the wooden wick, where it meets the wax.

  • Allow for the wax pool to reach the edges before the first extinguish.

After the first Light:

Make sure the wick is trimmed to the proper height for a wooden wick. ( 1/3 to 1/4 inch). If the wick starts to smoke, extinguish the candle. Let cool and trim a bit more.

Safety First! (We all know what these are, but just as a reminder)

  • Make sure you never leave your candle alone!

  • Keep away from Children and curious pets!

  • Do not burn for more than 4-6 hours at a time. This harms the integrity of the glass. (However if you wish to do so, you do so at your own risk)

  • Keep away from drapes, hanging items, and plants. Recommended a 3 foot radius of space between candle and anything that may interfere with the candle or catch fire. Avoid placing the candle(s) under hanging objects that are flammable.

  • Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.

  • Never touch or move a burning candle or container candle when the wax is liquid.

  • Never use a knife or sharp object to remove wax drippings from the jar candles. It might scratch, weaken, or cause the glass to break upon subsequent use.

  • Extinguish a candle if it repeatedly smokes, flickers, or the flame becomes too high. The candle isnā€™t burning properly. Cool, trim the wick, then check for drafts before relighting.

On Lux Candles for Emergency Purposes.
