This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on our Site. Your use of the Services following any such notice will signify and constitute your agreement to and acceptance of such revised Privacy Policy.


Part I



Consent of information is a core part of how Talking Candles operates it’s business and in it’s ability to provide you the customer, with amazing products. Consent is essential for this simple transaction to occur. Though for clarification here are the ways you consent to give your information.



  • Provide personal information to complete a transaction (Verify your credit card/ debit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or a return a purchase) we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

  • Submit your email for the monthly newsletter, (don’t worry this is optional, and for the time being Talking Candles does not have a newsletter) for marketing. You will be given an opportunity to accept or decline this offer.

  • Opening a user account with Talking Candles



To withdraw consent after signing up with either an account, subscription to the newsletter, or both, you may close your account or unsubscribe. (Details on how to do so coming soon, as neither are options right now.) Or if all else fails, email us for deletion instructions, or for deleting your data at We would be sad to see you go, but understand and are more than willing to help you in this matter.



Part II

Squarespace & Stripe (Hosting and Payment Gateway)



Talking Candles is hosted on Squarespace Inc. They provide us with the e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our goods and services to you. Your data is stored through their (Squarespace Inc.) data storage, databases and general Squarespace application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.


Stripe (Payment)

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, in which case Stripe (Talking Candles chosen payment gateway) stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Part III.

Third-Party Services

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your transactions. Google Analytics: At this time Talking Candles does not use Google Analytics, however that may change in the future.



Part V.

Policy Towards Children's Information

Another part of our priority is adding protection for children while using the internet. We encourage parents and guardians to observe, participate in, and/or monitor and guide their online activity.

Talking Candles does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately at and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.

Business Transfers and other Impossibilities


In the highly improbable and illogical situation that may arise where, whether for strategic or other business reasons(hahaha, no.), we may sell (double no), transfer or otherwise disclose some or all of our assets(pfft), including your Personal Information (this is crazy talk), in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets or in the event of bankruptcy. We here at Talking Candles will always seek the best way to protect your information.


Please note, over my dead body will I ever sell or do anything like this to Talking Candles, so no need to worry about any of this. But we must be thorough in our legality so here it is.
